Industry 4.0
The innovative ideas contributed by their member companies allow NIRO to constantly raise the bar. One shining example of this constant drive to push the envelop is the practice-oriented task force “Industry 4.0”, which was established in the summer of 2016 and discusses the current challenges faced by the member companies.
Whether identified by the moniker “digitisation”, "Industry 4.0” or “Internet of Things” – the digital transformation of the economy is all around us. The world is constantly growing smarter, shaping a future for companies that is fully digital, even virtual. Everything is interlinked. But, what exactly does this level of networking mean for industrial enterprises and the markets on which they operate? This is the question that the member companies try to answer in the context of their regular meetings at the “Industry 4.0” task force. One aspect of central importance is how companies can gradually arrive in the age of digitisation and which tools may help them on their way to accomplish this objective.
The goal they pursue is to create space for inspiration, develop tangible ideas and jointly define the steps necessary to bring about a practice-oriented implementation.
